Crate Sorter runs in your browser. Audio files you load are read, analysed and packaged locally — they are never uploaded to a server and we never store them.

When you choose the optional online genre lookup, only the artist and title text of the selected tracks is sent to a public music metadata service (MusicBrainz) to fetch genre tags and release years. No audio, filenames or personal data is included.

We store a single cookie-style value in your browser to remember your cookie choice. Basic, aggregated analytics may be collected to understand feature usage.

Your original files are never modified or deleted. Exports are new copies in a ZIP.
